PLA Antibacteria ist ein vielfältig einsetzbares, thermoplastisches Material für den 3D-Druck im offenen Bauraum. Es bietet dauerhaften antimikrobiellen Schutz gegen eine Vielzahl von Bakterien, Pilzen, Hefen und Algenpilzen.

BigRep PLA Antibacteria ist ein bakteriostatisches Material, dass das Wachstum von Bakterien und anderen schädlichen Mikroben durch eine enzymatische Reaktion hemmt. Das aktive Metall-Ion, das dafür in das PLA Ultralight eingearbeitet ist, hat keinen negativen Einfluss auf die mechanischen oder technischen Eigenschaften.

Es ist ein ideales Material für den Einsatz in Krankenhäusern, Kosmetiksalons, Geschäften oder überall dort, wo Anwender das Auftreten von schädlichen Mikroorganismen verhindern möchten. Der 3D-Druck des Filaments bei Temperaturen zwischen 195 und 215 °C hat keinen Einfluss auf die antibakteriellen Eigenschaften des Filaments.
