BigRep PRO Print Versatility for Industrial Productivity

Designed for flexibility in industrial applications, the PRO bridges quality and speed like no other additive manufacturing system. Operating at up to twice the speed of traditional large-format FFF 3D printers, the PRO includes industrial features like high-quality process monitoring with 32 integrated sensors and sequential printing for fast, reliable production.

PART DESCRIPTION

Inlet or intake manifolds are used in automotive engineering to supply a fuel and air mixture to the engine's cylinders. We chose the manifold as a sample part to showcase a classic automotive use case. Manifolds are typically too large a part to create with desktop 3D printers, limiting rapid prototyping potential to scaled or assembled parts, but are a relatively small part for BigRep PRO's massive cubic-meter build volume.

Better yet, low-grade versions can be produced in half that time at only two hours. For a cleaner showcase part, ACE produces high-resolution prints with a large variety of engineering-grade materials in a more traditional FFF 3D printing process.

BigRep PA6/66 is a light-weight thermoplastic material with high rigidity and high resistance to heat and chemicals. Its high compatibility with machining and mechanical strength make it an excellent candidate for most industrial applications, especially in the automotive and aerospace sectors.

ASA

BigRep ASA is an engineering-grade UV-resistant filament for high-strength and environmentally exposed applications. Designed for industrial and end-use parts, ASA is a strong material with high mechanical resistance, low shrinkage and superior layer adhesion. It is highly suited to applications in automotive, sporting goods, white goods and consumer appliances.

Designed for industrial and end-use parts, ASA is a strong material with high mechanical resistance, low shrinkage and superior layer adhesion.
